WODdoc Episode 352 Project365: Those Dimples On My Back Hurt
Those dimples on your back .. Yeah most of us have them. They are actually landmarks for some pretty important places. They signify the location where the three pieces of our pelvis join and we call it our sacroiliac joint. It’s a strong joint but none the less a joint. Hence it is vulnerable to injury if not supported by the muscular of the low back. When stressed this joint tends to default into a twisting pattern where one side of the pelvis twists forward and another twists backwards. When in this twisted configuration addition stress and irratation are added to the area causing this downward spiral of pain and inflammation. We can help reduce this twisted configuration with today’s mobility.
