Episode 551 P365: Building Musle-ups; Building Fundamental Strength
Ok so yesterday we tested fundemental strength…. and we said there were two forms of strength, fundamental strength and sport specific (movement specific) strength. If we were unable to pass the challenges set in episode 550 than this is the episode for for you. Below is the Recon Ron program. The goal of this program is to build capacity. This program is performed 5x a week for 4 weeks. We perform 5 sets separated by 2-3 min rest, We exercise to fatigue NOT failure. All participants who selected a band setting that allowed them to do 8 pull-ups would begin on week one. If you were able to complete more than the suggested setting you begin on a week that was 2 reps less than your max effort. Example 16 reps -2 = 14 rep setting.
