WODdoc Episode 136 Project365: Prayer Squat Challenge
Ok here it is.. stuck in a hotel room with nothing to do. Now is a great time to not be a lazy ass. I took a page out from one of the greats tonight, Kelly Starrett. Our objective … a 10 mins squat challenge WODdoc style. We are going to accumulate 10 continuous minutes in the bottom of a deep squat. (Can’t get there… place your back to the wall with your heels 1 foot length away from the wall. Now slide down as far as you can keeping your heels on the ground and your back against the wall). Once down in the deep squat activate into a particle squat every 3o seconds for a 5 count.
WODdoc style means we are performing this sucker in a prayer squat. Remember to keep your feet flat on the ground, and create outward pressure with elbows on the inside of your knees to tension the mid scap. You can release this position during the 5 second activation but must return immediately afterwards….. Good Luck!!
