WODdoc Episode 281 Project365: Front Roll Technique: Parallette Roll-Throughs
Now we are starting to get to the hard stuff. This is the stuff that takes all the strength. Of course there are progression to everything and ways to build strength for these movements.
The take away for todays exercise is learning how to initiate the roll while supporting your body. The key is to stay tight and compact. Tuck your knees into your chest. Lean forward by reaching with your head (picture a turtle poking its head out of its shell). Use your lats to actively push your fists toward your ankles. As you feel your weight shifting forward work to press your butt up in the air. As the momentum continues forward, tuck your heard and roll through.
