WODdoc Episode 126 Project365: Maximize Hip IR For A Better Receiving Position
November 5, 2014 11:58 pm
So …. I was working with one of my blocks today… that’s what I call my very immobile athletes…. and we were working on getting his torso more upright during the receiving position of a clean. For this to happen for him, or for anyone in that matter, our ass’s have to get as close as possible to our heels.
One vector that he was extremely limited in was internal rotation (IR). The outsides of his thighs were made of a combination of cement and guitar strings. This quick and dirty mob was helpful for him so I decided to share it tonight.
I like this sucker because it’s super simply and you only need yourself for it.
Today’s WODdocket:
1. Test Receiving Position
2. Perform 2 sets of 30 alternating legs (squatting knee taps)
3. Re-test !!!
