WODdoc Episode 373 P365: The Forgotten Forearm Muscle
Take 2 coming at you of Dr. Scott’s forgotten forearm muscle. This is a re-do of episode 370 without the atrocious sound interference.
The highlighted tissue above is called the flexor carpi ulnaris. Its job is to flex and bend the wrist toward the pinky. Not surprising it gets overused in the functional fitness world right. A bunch of time is spent mashin and smashin the forearms but this sucker slips under the radar pretty often … why? Because unlike other forearm flexers it is actually lengthened with elbow flexion. When was the last time you seen someone working on their forearms with a fully flexed elbow….. eeeeeexactly !
Today’s WODdocket:
3-5 pass of Dr. Scott’s FCU self mob in 3 locations of each arm … that 9-15 passes total for all you math majors out there ..
