WODdoc Episode 277 Project365: Helping Hand For Handstands
Handstands are a skill and like any skill take practice. However, if your practicing wrong then you’re just ingraining incorrect patterns. Turns out I was doing just that for some time now. I used the cue active hands forever. To me that meant gripping the ground with your hands but it turns out it is more beneficial to drive the palm surface of your knuckles into the ground. It may seem like semantics but it has really changed my ability to hold handstands (in a good way).
For us to do this correctly it takes 2 things. 1)Strength in wrist flexors and 2) Mobility in finger extension. Watch today’s episode to see my progression to build both!
Today’s WODdocket:
1. 30 Praying finger mobes
2. 3×10 Quadraped Wrist Push-ups (progress as shown if you can)
